what is a sugar apple anyway?

The Sugar Apple is popular throughout the tropics. A heart-shaped fruit with a consistency and sweet flavor akin to crème brulee, Sugar Apples may be found in local markets, but commercial production is on a very limited scale. They are a popular Caribbean dessert, eaten raw in fruit salads, ice creams, and drinks.

the designs...

Above are the 2009 designs, I update the design list every year. Only 7 of the designs make it into the catalog but I have many designs not used and I create new ones all the time. My goal is to create designs for locations all over the world...living things that represent that location and give that local it's identity and uniqueness.

Sugar Apple Design's mission has been evolving. What may be common on one end of the world may not be common on the other. For example, the sugar apple is not a very common fruit. People who do or do not live in the Caribbean may not know what a sugar apple is. As a matter of fact, the sugar apple was the very first design created by sugar apple design, appropriately so...:)

So you might say that is where the seed of my mission began...My goal is to educate and bring awareness of the beauty in the world we live. To appreciate every living thing, from a frog in a tree to a butterfly fluttering about. Many of my designs people have never heard of, seen, smelled or eaten before. (which is why I label each design.) You learn something new everyday...
